생활영어-허락하다Let/Allow/Permit

1. LET (~할게요 , 너가 허락하든 말든 나는 하겠다, = Will)

~하게하다/ ~시키다/ ~내버려두다

Let me tell you something

= I'll tell you something

 

Let me show you something

= I'll show you something

 

Let me think about it

= I'll think about it

 

2. ALLOW(formal, 상대방의 허락이 중요)

허락하다 (80% 수동태로 많이 씀)

 

They don't allow their children to go to the pub.

= Their children are not allowed to go to the pub.

 

Smoking is not allowed here

 

3. PERMIT(더 격식있고 적극적인 허가)

허가하다

 

Teenagers are not permitted to drink alcohol.
